PARENTING TEENS
You and your baby need a safe, happy and healthy life. The Healthy Supports Program is a comprehensive range of services for pregnant and parenting teens and youth who are at high risk of becoming teen parents.

PREVENTION
PREVENTION GROUPS
Prevention groups are offered in Splendora and New Caney schools. Case management services, counseling, and other supportive services are provided to assist teen parents with access to health resources, nutrition, family management skills, and parenting techniques.

PARENTING
HISPANIC MOM'S GROUP
Our Hispanic Mom's support group meets on Wednesday mornings 9:00am-11:00am at the Conroe office. It is open to all Spanish speaking mothers. The purpose of the group is to allow the women an opportunity to share their story and to learn from one another. The topics generally brought for discussion by the women are parenting, relationships, adaptation to new culture, their different roles as women such as a mother, spouse, sister, daughter, aunt, grandmother, etc.

PREVENTION
MADRES Y BEBES
The Madres y Bebes early childhood group meets on Tuesday mornings 9:00am-11:00am at the Conroe office. It is open to all Spanish speaking parents of children ages 0-5. Parents are encouraged to bring their children with them as each week activities are planned to help increase parent-child bonding and positive discipline techniques are taught and modeled. Parents have time to share their parenting challenges and successes, and the children have time to meet new friends.

HEALTH CARE
ACTIVE PARENTING
Active Parenting of Teens group meets on Monday evenings from 6pm-8pm in the Conroe office. The group is available for Spanish speaking parents of pre-teens and teens. This is a 7 week workshop in which counselors teach a lesson and then facilitate group discussion on a theme each week. The topics include positive parenting skills with a large focus on effective communication between parents and youth. Pre-teen and teenage youth are encouraged to attend with their parents.
