The SAY YES 2019 Shelter Expansion project is a capital expansion project to meet the current and future needs of our BridgeWay Residential Emergency Shelter. The expansion will remove the current Fairway Building to make room for the two new resident cottages. Construction began in June 2019 on a separate girls' cottage and boys' cottage both with bedrooms and bathrooms for 15, a family room, a small dining room and kitchenette, meeting room, and offices. After the cottages are complete, the construction of the walkway will begin to connect the new cottages to the current building. Finally, we will renovate, expand and enhance the current Bridgeway building into a multi-purpose building that will include a dining hall for 40, a commercial kitchen, life skills training and tutoring rooms, a recreation room, a library and staff offices. 

Each year, we are forced to turn away over 1,000 youth due to lack of bed space. This shelter expansion will double the capacity of BridgeWay allowing us to serve 30 youth at a time.
